Physical Activity Assessment
A WHO-aligned screening based on the validated IPAQ short form. Takes about 3 minutes.
What your score means
Low — Below the IPAQ moderate threshold. Under about 600 MET-minutes a week. Building up gradually gives the largest health gain.
Moderate — At least 600 MET-minutes a week. Reached by activity on most days, or the equivalent in walking and moderate activity.
High — Vigorous on 3+ days with 1500+ MET-minutes, or 3000+ MET-minutes. A high activity level by IPAQ criteria.
WHO target — 150-300 minutes moderate per week. The tool also shows whether your moderate-equivalent minutes meet the WHO adult target.
Frequently asked questions
What is a MET-minute?
It is activity intensity multiplied by minutes, so it lets walking, moderate and vigorous activity be added into one weekly total.
Why does it ask about sitting time?
Long sitting time is tracked separately in IPAQ because it is reported alongside activity rather than cancelled out by it.
What if the safety questions flag something?
The PAR-Q items are there to prompt a conversation with a doctor before you start or intensify exercise. Please follow that advice.
